How to use the list

Let your child choose. Read three sentences out loud, and ask which one sounds best today. When your child chooses, they own the sentence. Write it on a note, and put it somewhere you pass by several times a day.

For the littlest ones, pictures next to the words work well. With bigger kids, you can take a sentence along in the car and find examples of it during the day: “When were you brave today?”
