Your child’s Journey – Off We Go to France
About the book
Pack your suitcase! [Name] travels to France, says bonjour, tastes baguette and cheese, smells the lavender, sees the Eiffel Tower in Paris, plays pétanque and has a picnic in the park. A personalized travel book with new words, fun activities and a little lesson in daring to try.
Your child is the main character and travels with a grown-up from the suitcase at home, through the airport and the plane and all around France. Along the way your child learns where the country is, what the flag looks like, and how to say hello and thank you. The text is written for reading aloud to children aged 4–8, and the facts are kept simple and correct.
Picture your vacation, when your child points at the flag and says “Bonjour!” to the first person you meet. The book makes the new feel exciting instead of strange, and afterwards it’s a keepsake from your trip.
Inside the book:
- 16 illustrated story pages with text on one side and the picture on the other
- 10 activity pages: color the flag, draw and write, a quiz, find-and-tick and a word card (Bonjour, Au revoir, Merci, S’il te plaît, Oui, Non, Bonne nuit, L’eau)
- Numbers 1 to 5 in the local language
- A little lesson in daring to try and a page of kind words
- A page for the grown-up with ideas to keep talking and playing
- Your child’s name and a character that looks like your child
Healthy food all the way: fruit, vegetables, bread, water and milk. The book is perfect before, during or after a vacation in France – or as a little adventure at home.
